This is ridiculous.
Last night, sleeping in front of the open front door, I woke up around three. The temperature had dropped to a balmy 86 degrees. No fan can help with that.
Right now? 104 outside an hour from sunset, and 92.5 inside.
Yeah, I'm going to be really sharp tomorrow after a great night's sleep tonight.
Maybe I'll go for a drive with the air conditioning with the Wonder Dog. Too bad I can't smuggle him into the movies.

IF there are many more nights of this, my vote is go to a hotel for a breather.
Once the season is over, pick up a used window air conditioner for pennies and then next year you won't have to suffer this. Just a thought.
I agree with Torn. Window units will soon be on clearence (and they aren't even that expensive when you consider how big a difference they make to your quality of life). Then again, I consider AC a basic human right.

Go for the A/C clearance thing. Good lord. I've been thinking of you poor Cali-forn-I-ans lately with your heat. Summer is so over here, a little heat might be nice but you guys have A LOT of heat. Maybe that is what made the dog barf?
